Woo Hoo, I just got my first online feature on Wayfair! Let me say that again, because it’s still hard to wrap my head around. I just got feature on Wayfair! 🙂
They saw my Patio Refresh project online and since they sell patio furniture they reached out to me and several other bloggers for our input.
They sent us a list of questions about our patios, how we came to choose our lounge furniture, and then wrapped them all up in an article.
Of course I said YES!
Being featured by a brand as large as Wayfair is a big deal in general; but, it’s a huge deal for someone who’s only been blogging a short while 🙂 I’ve had my webpage for a few years but I didn’t start seriously blogging (or really know what I was doing) until several months ago.
This page contains links to products, if you purchase something after clicking on my link I may earn a small commission (at no extra cost to you). You can read about affiliate links here.
It is truly the best compliment I could have received! You can read all about it in their Patio Lounge Furniture article.
So ya, having Wayfair feature you this early in your blogging journey is mind blowing.
I’ve loved Wayfair and been a customer for a long time. Most recently I purchased the industrial Gooseneck Lights we installed over the sink in our Kitchen Renovation. I knew exactly what I wanted and was ecstatic when I found them. The best part is they didn’t break the budget. UPDATED – my specific lights aren’t carried by Wayfair any longer but they can be found on Home Depot so the link has been updated.
I was nervous so of course that allowed the negative talk to creep into my brain. “What if they didn’t like what I had to say?” “What if I wasn’t eloquent enough?” “What if I wasn’t clever enough or my little patio retreat wasn’t as cool as the others?”
“Wake up! Of course they loved your patio!” “They came to you didn’t they?” Even if they didn’t end up including my patio in their article it was still an honor to be considered.
I’m sure they appreciated the before and after pictures. I still love looking at what I started with.
Our tired and beat up wicker table got a makeover.
Now it’s a great landing spot for the cigar box and ashtray, or drinks and snacks.
My sun worn butterfly still looked good.
But it really pops after getting a bright coat of paint.
Even our old seagrass rug got a face lift.
Never painted a rug before? Then be sure to check out my video.
After I quieted the negative self-talk I sat down to respond to their questions. Of course I read and reread them many times over. Then I held my breath as I clicked “send.” And then I reread them again, just in case 🙂
My contact at Wayfair told me he’d let me know when it published. But it had been several weeks so I was wondering if I didn’t make the cut.
Wayfair Featured Me!
Yay ……I made the cut!
The day it published I was at a leadership summit at my church. I saw the email from my contact come through on my phone and I couldn’t stop smiling. I didn’t hear much of what the speaker said from that point on until the break 🙂 I couldn’t wait to get outside and read the full article.
They put together a great round up of patios if I do say so myself :). I mean, I must be an expert because they said so at the end of the article 😉
Be sure to check out the article on Wayfair and visit the other bloggers who were featured. We love to share the things we’ve done in our homes to inspire others. So don’t forget to leave a comment and mention what you like best, or what you might like to see from us in the future.
