King of Christmas – King Noble Fir Review

It’s that time of year again, well almost. It’s early October and Halloween stuff is still in the stores. So why am I writing about a Christmas Tree, when I swore years ago when I started blogging, that I’d never put a tree up in my house before December?

I’d been unhappy with our very bulky tree for some time but never got around to replacing it. Our house is small so it was time for a change to something a bit lighter.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago and King of Christmas reached out and asked if I’d be interested in receiving one of their trees in exchange for my honest review.

After checking out the King of Christmas website and looking through all their beautiful options I chose their King Noble Fir. I selected the 6′ tall option with 400 pre-lit warm-light LEDs.

You can choose from 6′ up to 9′ lit or unlit in this style of tree.

I couldn’t wait for it to arrive!

Here’s what’s in the box:

  • The tree (comes in 3 pieces)
  • Easy-setup stand
  • Remote control
  • Welcome packet with setup instructions
  • Gloves to protect your arms while fluffing
  • Zipperred storage bag

Prefer a Flocked tree? It also comes as a Flocked King Noble Fir. You can choose prelit or unlit.

Setup of your new King of Christmas Tree

Setup couldn’t be easier! Simply open the legs of the stand, line up the holes, and tighten the thumb screw a bit, but not all the way.

Locate the bottom section, remove the green protective cap and slide the bottom end into the tree stand. Tighten the thumb screw to keep the tree from swiveling in the base and pull the branches down into place.

Slide the middle and top sections of the tree into place, pulling down the branches. Next comes the fluffing.

If you have a very full tree the included gloves are a must. With my old tree every year I had scratches on my arms, so these were appreciated.

Spread out the the branches and fluff the tree to your liking.

Decorating your new Christmas Tree

What I really love about this King Noble Fir is that it’s not a very full tree. This way, larger ornaments have more space to hang. My tree won’t stay up until December so it’s minimally decorated now to give you a good idea of how this tree will look with your ornaments.

I ran to Walmart and bought a set of shatterproof retro ornaments in pinks, blues, & greens. I’ve been switching out my colors the last few years and I really love the fun colors versus the more traditional reds and silvers I used to decorate with.

Especially now that I have grandbabies, which will undoubtedly bring more homemade and fun decorations to our home.

Pre-Lit Soft White LED Lights

I love that the lights on this tree are soft white, and not the harsh white of original LED lights. You can operate the tree lights and patterns with either the button control on the cord, or using the included remote control. There are eight light patterns, dimming options, and you can set the timer.

Since our old artifical christmas tree is 10+ years old, and not LED, I’m excited for the energy savings the new LED lit tree will bring. With energy costs in Califoria skyrocketing, this is a very good thing.

Storing your King of Christmas Tree

Your new tree from King of Christmas comes with a thick zippered storage bag. They’re one-size-fits-all so my tree had lots of extra space in the bag.

We’ll store our new tree in the original box, which is how we stored our old tree. This way the tree is snug and protected in our crowded DIY shed.

Our new 6′ King Noble Fir, in the box, takes up only about 1/3 the space of our old but very full 7′ tree.

So which beautiful tree from King of Christmas will you choose?

Other King of Christmas Offerings

Easy Christmas Crafts and DIY

Since I’m writing all about Christmas Trees in October I might as well share some of the easy projects I’ve done in the past. There’s still plenty of time of get your craft on before Christmas.

Night Views

It’s beautifully lit at night! There was a light on across the living room, so it wasn’t completely dark. but you can still see how beautifully lit this tree is.
